Conquering Hero Wins

Conquering Hero, ridden by Gary Stevens, rallied through the stretch and won by a head over Ifrad in the $35,000 feature race Thursday at Del Mar.

Conquering Hero raced 1 1/16 miles over the turf course in 1:42 2/5 and paid $19.20, $8.40 and $5.20. Ifrad returned $13.20 and $7, and Quintillion paid $4.40 to show.
