The Royal Star, operating out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego and skippered by Ted Dunn, traveled 200 miles up the coast last weekend and fished about 75 miles southwest of Point Conception.

They started fishing last Saturday night, shortly after 5, and had 73 fish aboard by nightfall. On Monday, things broke open and by the end of the trip, 15 anglers had boated 200 albacore averaging about 25 pounds. The largest was a 46-pounder caught by Dr. Sheldon Siegel of Los Angeles.
