Trinidad Goni, 95, Spanish Dancer, Dies

Trinidad Goni, among the first teachers of Spanish dance in Los Angeles who established a series of recitals in the 1930s where proceeds were donated to handicapped children, died last week in Glendale. She was 95.

A member of an early California family, she danced for years at the La Golondrina Mexican Restaurant on Olvera Street while teaching both professional and amateur dancers. She also marketed a popular line of castanets.
