Girl Found Burned to Death Identified
A girl who apparently burned herself to death was identified Tuesday as Candice Stork, a 16-year-old Panorama City resident and 11th-grade student at Grant High School in Van Nuys, police said.
Police said residents who live near the Panorama Presbyterian Church at 14201 Roscoe Blvd. reported hearing a woman screaming about 3 a.m. Monday. Police found in the church parking lot the charred and unrecognizable remains of a young woman, a photograph presumed to be of the dead girl and a few articles of clothing.
