Alpine
The badly decomposed body of an unidentified Latino man was found by bicyclists Thursday under an oak tree in a rural area of Alpine, police reported.
The body was discovered near Highland View and South Grade roads.
Coroner’s Deputy Gerald Hillbrand said the man had been dead for several days and the cause of his death was unknown.
The man was described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-7 and 147 pounds. His body was clad in a white T-shirt with red trim on the sleeves, blue jeans and blue tennis shoes. He had a tattoo of an anchor on his upper right arm, Hillbrand reported.
