Santa Ana : Love Triangle Blamed in Hit-and-Run Incident
A 19-year-old Santa Ana man was treated for internal injuries after being hit by a pickup truck allegedly driven by his girlfriend’s estranged husband, authorities said Sunday.
Gustavo Orozco, who was treated at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, was hit by a 1980 Ford pickup truck as he and his girlfriend walked through an alley in the 1100 block of South Minnie Street on Saturday night, Santa Ana Police Lt. Jack Nelson said. The woman was not injured.
Police did not disclose the identities of the 34-year-old woman or her 38-year-old husband.
Orozco was no longer listed as a patient at Western Medical Center on Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene. The woman’s husband was being sought by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
