Hart to Reveal Future on TV
Former Sen. Gary Hart will answer questions concerning his political future next Tuesday on ABC’s “Nightline,” a spokesman said today.
Spokesman Bill Shore said Hart will appear on the program Sept. 8 to “respond to recent questions concerning his political plans.” He declined to answer questions or provide further details. Speculation that Hart might re-enter the race for the Democratic presidential nomination was kindled last month after his former campaign manager, Bill Dixon, said it was “likely” that he would do so. Hart was vacationing in Ireland at the time, but his wife, Lee, quickly discounted Dixon’s comments and said Hart will not re-enter the race.
