Fullerton : Mobile Health Clinic Going Back Into Service
A popular mobile health clinic operated by Orange County’s largest anti-poverty agency will resume visiting community centers in the county on Tuesday with the first stop at Lemon Park Senior Center in Fullerton.
The visit signals a resumption of the mobile clinic’s schedule after its operation by the Community Development Council ceased last January because of a lack of insurance and problems with physician scheduling, said Clarence Ray, the council’s acting president.
The clinic on wheels provides the same medical services available at a general practitioner’s office, Ray said. However, the services are provided essentially to seniors and low-income people, he said. Donations of $5 per visit are suggested.
Physician staffing is provided by UCI Medical Center’s Residency Program.
The Lemon Park Senior Center is at 701 S. Lemon St., Fullerton. The clinic is from 9 a.m. to noon.
