Renaldo Lorea, 6, of Salinas was shot and killed by his 10-year-old brother as the youngsters examined a .22-caliber rifle they found in a closet, police said. Renaldo was shot once in the head, police said. Police said that the older brother, Alfredo, apparently was struggling with a loading clip in the rifle when it went off, striking Renaldo, about five feet away, Salinas police detectives said.
