Trash Plant Warning
As a loyal, longtime subscriber to the Los Angeles Times, I am appalled about the stance taken by your newspaper in the Sept. 6 editorial concerning the proposed trash plant in San Marcos.
Not only does your statement gloss over some severe technical problems such as a solution for disposal of the toxic ash, it also encourages a position that is counter to fighting the battle for clean air in Southern California.
As one of the best newspapers in the nation, I suggest that The Times take a closer look at such important regional problems before publishing editorials.
