Whittier Boat Racer Is Critically Hurt
Boat driver Jerry Fulgham, 31, of Whittier was listed in critical condition Sunday after his drag boat disintegrated during the International Hotboat Assn. Nationals at Puddingstone Dam Lake in Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas.
Fulgham was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina. He lost an arm and suffered a cervical fracture and severe head injuries.
