DIC Enterprises, one of the largest producers of animated television programs, is moving from Encino to Burbank.

In late November, DIC will relocate its 200 employees from their current location on Balboa Boulevard near the Ventura Freeway to the Business Arts Plaza on Olive Avenue in Burbank. DIC be located directly across from The Burbank Studios.

“For the first time all of our writers, artists and sound people, among others, will be under one roof,” said Julie Van Hees, DIC’s director of publicity. At present, DIC workers are scattered in two buildings on Balboa.

Relocating also puts DIC “closer to the creative people we work with,” Van Hees said.

DIC produces cartoon shows including “Dennis the Menace” and “The Real Ghostbusters.” The company has grown enormously since it was founded five years ago. In 1986, the company had sales of about $60 million.
