They’re Not Buying an NFL Strike
How would the owners and players feel if we, as fans, were able to tell them that if there was a strike, every one of us would never support pro football again. Do you think they would be able to settle their differences then?
I know this idea is preposterous. However, the players and owners seem to act like they have forgotten something: It is we, the fans, who have made pro football. Without us, there wouldn’t be multi-million dollar contracts for the players. Franchises that get millions of dollars from television would be worth zero.
