City Councilman Nate Holden, who helped prod a landlord into reversing an eviction of a 73-year-old woman and her housemate, said he will ask the city attorney’s office to investigate the incident. The landlord, William Little, evicted Jessie Davis, a retired maid, and Earl Renfroe from a two-bedroom house in the 1900 block of Rimpau Boulevard despite Davis’ claim that she was willing to pay the $650 monthly rent. After spending two nights with a relative, Davis and Renfroe, a retired race track worker, returned home after Little said their eviction was a mistake. Bet Tzedek Legal Services also represented the tenants.
