Cloris Leachman, normally seen on “The Facts of Life,” will turn up on another NBC series Sept. 27. She has a guest role on “Our House,” playing a teacher who gives Gus (Wilford Brimley) a lesson on the economic realities confronting the educational system today.

Kenny Rogers will host the 21st annual Country Music Association Awards, which CBS plans to broadcast Oct. 12. Nominees for entertainer of the year are George Strait, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, the Judds and Hank Williams Jr.

Shelley Duvall, who has produced “Faerie Tale Theatre” for the Showtime cable channel, is preparing to make her first program for public television. She’ll also star in “Frog,” an hourlong comedy for PBS’ “Wonderworks” series. It’s loosely based on “The Frog Prince” and also will feature Elliott Gould, Paul Williams and Scott Grimes.
