The Orange County Transit District will continue to accept Southern California Rapid Transit District bus passes on two of its commuter express lines, the OCTD board of directors decided Monday.

The SCRTD passes will be honored on Line 464, the run from the Fullerton Park and Ride facility to downtown Los Angeles, and Line 701, from Huntington Beach to downtown Los Angeles, the OCTD board of directors decided at its regular weekly meeting.

OCTD handles six of the 24 runs of Line 464 but will take over the entire run from SCRTD in July, 1988. The fare coupon for these express lines will cost the standard $2.25, OCTD officials said.

OCTD is also doing a comprehensive survey to determine ridership trends and the demographics of service, district spokeswoman Claudia Keith said. Results of such surveys, conducted every three to five years, are used to establish routes and determine service level changes. They will be evaluated in early February, Keith said.
