Agoura 17, Monrovia 0--Doug Hastings had 85 yards on 18 carries and Dave Friedl had 79 yards on 11 carries to lead Agoura to the nonleague win at home.

Friedl scored the Charger’s first touchdown with five minutes left in the first quarter, capping a 10-play, 72-yard drive.

The Charger defense was also strong, holding Monrovia (1-3) to 94 yards in total offense, 30 through the air. Agoura’s Carrick O’Quinn, Paul Berry, Shane Geringer and Ed Mangola stood out on defense.

Agoura (3-1) took advantage of four bad Monrovia punt snaps, turning two of them into points.

Late in the first quarter, Agoura got the ball on the Monrovia 26-yard line after a bad snap. Zach Miller scored on a one-yard run eight plays later.

In the third quarter, Agoura took over on the Monrovia 34 after another bad snap. Nine plays later, Mark Senter kicked a 23-yard field goal.
