Science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov is breaking into the movies. He has signed an agreement with the New York-based Miramax Films to write an English adaptation of Rene Laloux’s original French screenplay of “Light Years,” completed this summer. Laloux’s animated story concerns a civilization destroyed and reborn due to technological experimentation.
