Local News in Brief : Minority Student Program
A program to recruit and retain minority students at Cal State Northridge will be used as a model for the other 18 state university system campuses, officials said Wednesday.
Among the services offered at CSUN are counseling of minority students to keep them in school and a mentor program, which selects faculty and student leaders to help integrate minority students into the university community. CSUN also has recommended that lottery money be earmarked for remedial programs for minorities and additional counseling services.
