Quakers Back Gay Rights

PHILADEPHIA — The American Friends Service Committee has voiced support for a national rally this weekend in Washington for homosexual rights. Asia A. Bennett, executive secretary of the Quaker group, says the event “comes at a crucial time in the struggle for gay rights” when efforts are being made to weaken them by “exploiting myths and stereotypes.”
