Concerning this “Rambo” lunacy now sweeping the country, I, for one, would like publicly to proclaim that, given the choice, I would prefer existence under a communist regime than under a government and society dominated by the kind of aboriginal and brutal zealots portrayed by Stallone & Co. in these idiotic Rambo fantasies.

If the youth of this nation were ever to accept Stallone’s perverted version of courage, patriotism, history and moral values as even remotely bordering on reality, God help us all, for we will have forfeited any chance that might still exist for us to emerge from this present grim period of cultural, ethical and intellectual bankruptcy with any trace remaining of what was once a civilized and democratic society.
