RAMBO BIAFRA

What does it say about a newspaper and Calendar editor when the color cover page and four more pages are devoted to the latest Rambo movie while an article on the birth of a brilliant social satirist (“Jello Biafra, Cultural Terrorist,” by Bob Sipchen, Oct. 11), with enough entertainingly incisive quotes to out-gun the other 500 pages of The Times, is buried on Page 93, smack in the middle of the intellectual desert of 10 full-pages of Las Vegas, Reno-Tahoe and Arizona ads?

I suppose that I should be thankful that you allowed us to discover the bones if we looked hard enough.

The gross imbalance toward fascist money and the suspicion that there are many other bodies of knowledge and delightful enlightenment that you have buried where we will never discover them puts a damper on my natural appreciativeness.
