Laughing at the DMV
Traffic violators may eliminate their fines and prevent higher insurance premiums by enrolling in traffic schools, including some where they apparently receive entertainment, amusement, refreshments and stress reduction instruction. (“People Race to Get Into Traffic Schools,” Oct. 9)
Comedians at the schools give amusing lectures on proper driving. The worst that can happen to the offending drivers is that they will bust a gut laughing--at the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
