Unisys Corp. net income leaped 145% to $129.7 million for the third quarter, compared to the year-ago period. The Blue Bell, Pa.-based computer giant credited the results to the success of new product offerings, a healthy international computer market, improved U.S. sales and strong defense orders. The firm said demand for large-scale 1100 and ‘A’ series computer systems and B20/30 advanced workstations were particularly strong.
