After two weeks, “Star Trek IV: the Voyage Home” is heading both the Billboard rental and sales charts. The home video debut of a “Star Trek” movie invariably rekindles interest in the others--particularly when the oldies are available at bargain prices. Sales chart reentries, at $19.95, are “Star Trek: the Motion Picture” (No. 10), “Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan” (No. 13) and “Star Trek III: the Search For Spock” (No. 8). Other sales charts: “An American Tail” and “Lady and the Tramp” top the kidvid chart; on the health and fitness chart, “Callanetics” slipped past two Jane Fonda perennials to grab the No. 1 position.

This grisly sequel barreled to No. 21 from No. 37. “Evil Dead 2” can be expected to be one of the top horror rentals during Halloween week.
