George S. Smith Jr. has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Viacom International Inc.
Smith, who previously served as vice president and controller of Viacom, succeeds Gordon E. Belt, who announced his resignation from the company earlier.
Viacom International Inc. is a diversified communications and entertainment company with headquarters in New York. Viacom Inc., the holding company parent of Viacom International Inc., is 83% owned by National Amusements Inc., a closely held corporation that owns and operates about 400 movie screens in 14 states.
