Central County : Freeway Lanes, Streets to Close for Widening
Streets and freeway lanes in Costa Mesa and Westminster will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of construction along the San Diego Freeway, Caltrans announced Friday.
From 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday in Costa Mesa, the northbound Harbor Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound San Diego Freeway, along with the southbound Harbor on-ramp to the southbound San Diego Freeway, will be closed, Caltrans spokesman Albert Miranda said. The connecting slow and acceleration lanes of the freeway in both direction will also be closed.
In Westminster, from 7 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, the fast lane of the San Diego Freeway just north of Golden West Boulevard will be closed, Miranda said. And the middle lane of the freeway there will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The closures are part of the widening of the freeway for the addition of car pool and bus lanes.
