Eric Wynalda and Gerardo Jimenez had a goal and an assist each to lead the San Diego State men’s soccer team to a 4-0 nonconference victory at Stanford Friday. It was the Aztecs’ 11th shutout this season, the school’s most since 1982.
Stanford outshot SDSU, 15-9, but backup goalkeeper Bryan Finnerty recorded his second shutout since replacing starter Felipe Hernandez (broken leg) two weeks ago.
Curt Lewis and Kyle Whittemore each added goals for the Aztecs (13-3), ranked 15th in the nation. Stanford is 7-7-3.
