When a Warwick, R.I., woman bought a $4.99 videocassette with a Superman cartoon for her son, what she saw was neither bird nor plane nor the caped hero--it was 15 minutes of X-rated sex. According to news reports, the unidentified woman--who filed a complaint with police--bought the videocassette at an F. W. Woolworth’s store on Oct. 17 for her 4-year-old son. According to the woman, her son saw several minutes of the pornographic footage, which followed the cartoon. Woolworth officials said they found nothing but Superman cartoons on other videocassettes in stock and called it a prank.
