Deputies Investigate Slaying in Ramona
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies were investigating the slaying of a man who was found dead early Saturday in Ramona.
The identity and age of the victim, described only as a Latino between the ages of 25 to 35, were not immediately known. He appeared to have died of a beating, but authorities could not say weather a weapon had been used.
The victim was apparently killed after attempting to pick a fight with other patrons in a Ramona bar, the Rusty Spur, officials said. He was last seen leaving the bar with two other men, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The victim’s body was found behind a Ramona restaurant shortly after midnight, officials said. Investigators were seeking the two men with whom the victim left the Rusty Spur.
