Huntington Beach : Girl, 5, Hit by Car; Condition Is Serious
A 5-year-old girl was hospitalized Sunday after she was hit by a car while crossing the intersection of Warner Avenue and Edwards Street with her mother, police said.
Esperanza Roman was in serious condition Sunday evening at Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
Police said the accident occurred when the girl turned back to retrieve something she had dropped in the street.
The driver of the car was not cited or held pending further investigation, police said.
