Burglar Kills Dog by Tossing It Into Dryer

ENFIELD, N.Y. — A 4-year-old Chihuahua died apparently trying to protect her owner’s property after a burglar threw the dog into a clothes dryer and turned it on, authorities said today.
“I don’t see how anybody could do that,” said Cynthia Furman, who found her dog, Tiny, in the dryer when she came home for lunch Tuesday.
