Japan Air Lines’ income jumped 646.5% to $104.8 million (14.165 billion yen) in the first six months. The Tokyo-based company said the huge jump in earnings is attributable to an 81.7% increase in pretax operating profits due to the stabilization of prices for jet fuel and various cost-cutting measures. Revenue was up 7.8% to $3.2 billion (431.7 billion yen).
