John Hodgson has joined Newport Pacific Funding Corp. in the new position of underwriting manager. He is in charge of reviewing and granting final approval to all loans, including FHA, VA and conventional loans for the Newport Beach-based company. Before coming to Newport Pacific, Hodgson spent two years as senior underwriter for Goldome Realty Credit Corp. in Newport Beach. In 1984-85, he was an auditor and appraiser with the Inyo County assessor’s office. In 1980-84, he worked for Valley Federal Savings & Loan as a loan underwriter.
