5.6 Quake Shakes Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan — An earthquake with a preliminary reading of 5.6 on the Richter scale was recorded Tuesday near Hualien, about 90 miles southeast of Taipei, the Central Weather Bureau said. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the tremor.
