Local News in Brief : East County : Motorcyclist Killed After Hitting Van Head On

A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday when he collided head on with a van in Trabuco Canyon.
George Benson Field of El Toro lost control of his motorcycle on a curve on Live Oak Canyon Road at 11:45 a.m., slid out of his lane and in front of the oncoming car, California Highway Patrol spokesman Ken Daly said.
He was thrown over the car and struck by a second car, Daly said.
Fields, who had bought the motorcycle 10 days before, had no license to drive it, Daly said.
