A 24-year-old woman was found strangled in a car Monday morning and her ex-boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of murder, El Cajon police said Monday.
The body of Eydie R. Lopez of El Cajon was found at 7:30 a.m. in a dirt lot on the southwest corner of Mollison Avenue and Sandalwood Drive, Officer Tom Buhl said.
Police arrested Mark Augustine Lugo, 22, of El Cajon and booked him into County Jail on suspicion of murder. Buhl said the killing occurred about 5 a.m. Homicide detectives are investigating.
