Two Los Angeles-area men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in the June 8 shooting death of a Bell Gardens man whose body was found dumped in an orange grove in an unincorporated area of Irvine, Orange County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.

Ramiro Contreras, 20, and Camerino Guerra, 26, were being held in Orange County Jail without bond in the death of Carlos Estuardo Molina, 22, whose body was discovered in an orange grove south of Irvine Boulevard and west of Culver Drive. He had been shot in the upper body.

Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Olson said the killing involved a fight over “a mutual female acquaintance.”

A red 1975 Chevrolet Camaro that investigators said the suspects used was recovered by police June 10 in a parking lot in San Ysidro, near the Mexican border, Olson said.
