Univisa S.A. announced that it has reached agreement in principle to sell Univision, the largest Spanish-language television network in the country to Hallmark Cards Inc.--First Chicago Venture Capital group that purchased 10 Spanish-language television stations from the Spanish International Communications Corp. earlier this year. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is subject to a definitive agreement, which is expected within the next few months, Univisa said. The company said some shareholders of Univisa may acquire a small non-voting interest in the Hallmark--First Chicago group.
