Cemetery workers began to unearth the bodies of patients who died at a Long Island hospital so autopsies could determine whether they had been injected with lethal drugs. Richard Angelo, a registered nurse, allegedly has told authorities he injected an undetermined number of patients at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip with paralyzing drugs so that he could revive them and appear to be a hero. Authorities are investigating the deaths of 25 former intensive-care patients, and the county obtained a court order giving it permission to exhume seven bodies this week.
