O’Neill Has a ‘Good Day’

Former House Speaker Thomas P. (Tip) O’Neill Jr. (D-Mass.) was resting comfortably Thursday, a day after he had surgery for bowel cancer, a spokeswoman for Brigham and Women’s Hospital said. “His vital signs are stable,” Michelle Morgan said. “He’s had a good day.”
