Former Wichita forward Chico Borja scored a goal 4:33 into the fourth quarter Friday night to give the Los Angeles Lazers a 5-4 victory over the Wings.

Borja returned to the Kansas Coliseum just five months after he was named the Wings’ most valuable player. He was the Major Indoor Soccer League team’s leading scorer with 51 goals and 87 points last season.

Jim Gabarra scored two goals, and Thompson Usiyan and Paul Child had one apiece for the Lazers. Mark Kerlin scored twice, and Erik Rasmussen and Mickey Thomas once each for the Wings (2-2).
