Orange County Sports / The Colleges : UCI Clinches Water Polo Title
A balanced offensive attack led UC Irvine to a 14-8 victory over UC Santa Barbara in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. water polo Saturday at UCSB. The victory clinched the conference title for the Anteaters.
Greg Wilson led Irvine with four goals, and Mike Doting, Mike Halphide and Kevin Wood each scored three.
The Anteaters (18-8, 9-1) are ranked second in the nation. The pairings for the NCAA tournament, scheduled Nov. 27-29 at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach, will be announced today.
