A military helicopter crashed in the ocean off San Diego, but all 19 passengers apparently survived, a Coast Guard official said. Details were sketchy. Lt. John Ochs of the Coast Guard Rescue Center in Long Beach said that he did not know whether it was a Navy or Marine Corps aircraft. “I don’t have an exact location” of the crash,” Ochs said. “The military is responsible for its own aircraft. We were on standby, but they had enough aircraft to handle the case.”
