A fire believed started accidentally by an older brother killed a 14-month-old Riverbank boy in his crib. Levi Thaudis Cypert died after his 4-year-old brother, James Jr., apparently ignited clothing and toys near the crib with a cigarette lighter. The older boy ran screaming down the hall of the family’s mobile home in the Stanislaus County community and woke up his father, James, who fire officials said burned his feet, face and hands while making a “heroic effort” to save his son.
