Auburn, Alabama Play Today for the SEC Title
Associated Press
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
A Sugar Bowl bid is at stake today when Auburn meets Alabama.
Auburn is hoping for a victory that would give the Tigers the Southeastern Conference title and send them to New Orleans on Jan. 1 against undefeated Syracuse.
Alabama wants a victory that would give the Crimson Tide an equal share of the SEC title with Louisiana State, defeated by Alabama three weeks ago. That would leave it up to the Sugar Bowl to invite either LSU or Alabama.
