Jeff Seal, sports information director at Tulane University, was in good condition after undergoing surgery for a back wound he suffered after being kidnaped, robbed and shot, authorities said.
Police said that a man and two teen-agers accused of the attack were arrested after a chase and car crash. Police said the three men forced Seal, 31, into his car, robbed him of $12, credit cards and jewelry before shoving him out the car and shooting him.
The man, Clarence Stevenson, 19, and the two teen-agers were treated for injuries suffered in the crash. Police said charges, including attempted murder, are pending against the three.
