Senior Jerald Abraham rushed for two touchdowns, including one late in the fourth quarter, to give Wyoming a come-from-behind 24-20 win over Hawaii and the Western Athletic Conference championship Saturday night.

The victory gave Wyoming an 8-0 record in conference play, only the second time in the 26-year history of the WAC that a team has gone undefeated in eight conference games. Brigham Young went 8-0 in 1984, its national championship season.

Wyoming (10-2) will play Iowa on Dec. 30 in the Holiday Bowl at San Diego.

Hawaii (3-5, 5-6) will close out it’s season this Saturday here against Arkansas.

Trailing 20-17, Abraham scored on a six-yard run with 4:51 left in the game. Abraham rushed for 82 yards to become the Wyoming’s all-time leading rusher with 2,245 career yards.
