Steve Sanders, 23, of Orange, a former Brigham Young University football player, has been bound over for trial on prescription drug fraud charges after a former teammate, Trevor Molini, testified at his preliminary hearing in Orem, Utah. Sanders was ordered arraigned in 4th District Court in Provo on Dec. 11.
Sanders, who did not appear at the hearing, and Molini were arrested April 9 after an Orem pharmacist reported to police that a suspicious prescription for pain killers containing a form of codeine had been telephoned in.
