Local News in Brief : Leopard Bites Prowse
Dancer Juliet Prowse was bitten Wednesday by the leopard that attacked her during a September rehearsal for the “Circus of the Stars” television show.
Prowse, 51, suffered only minor injuries on the left ear and below the neck in the latest attack, during a rehearsal at NBC in Burbank, said Patty Mayberry, a spokesman for Saint Joseph Medical Center, where the dancer was being treated Wednesday night.
The 80-pound leopard was standing behind Prowse with its paws on her shoulders and lunged when she moved her head, said Dan Jenkins, a spokesman for “Circus of the Stars.”
